Mission

Platform Artspace is an art-focused project space located on the UC Berkeley campus, adjacent to Wurster Hall. It was created and is directed by Professor Jill Miller from the Department of Art Practice in collaboration with a curatorial board made up of students from across campus.

Platform Artspace curates workshops, events, and exhibitions by and for the greater UC community. Some projects are initiated by the Platform curatorial board, while others are selected through an application process.

Platform Artspace Prioritizes

  1. Art projects that thrive outside of traditional art spaces

  2. Artists who take risks with their work

  3. Collaborations and participatory projects

  4. Underrepresented artists (people of color, LGBTQ+, non-binary artists, women, artists with disabilities)

PLATFORM is closed to the public for an indefinite period to support community safety due to the COVID-19 virus.
